If there is one thing kids of all ages can agree on, it’s theme parks! Whether you are into the rollercoasters, the teacups, or are just there for food, the best themes parks have something for everyone.

From Osaka to Orlando, we are counting down the best theme parks and destinations for family.

Best All-Around Theme Parks Destination: Orlando, Florida

Of course, we have to start with the quintessential pick! If you love theme parks, you need to get to Orlando. This city has more world-class theme parks than you could possibly cover in a week.

It is home to the world’s largest and most visited amusement park, Walt Disney World, which draws in a whopping 50 million visitors per year. In fact, Disney World is so big that there are actually four different theme parks inside: the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Hollywood Studios, and the Animal Kingdom.

And it’s more than just Disney! In total, there are more than a dozen theme parks in Orlando. Check out the animals at SeaWorld Orlando, build memories at Legoland Florida, or set off for the stars at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

Car Lover Destination: Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Love all things fast and furious? This Ferrari-themed amusement park is right up your alley. It goes without saying this speed-loving theme park is home to the fastest rollercoaster on the planet, the Formula Rossa. Topping speeds of 149 MPH, come ready for the ride of a lifetime.

But you can definitely keep your cool here! While temperatures in Abu Dhabi can reach over 120 degrees F in the dead of summer, Ferrari World is as cool as a cucumber. With a roof covering the massive 2,152,782 sq ft space, this is the largest indoor amusement park in the world— and certainly one of the best theme parks for those who love a bit of AC during the summer!

Even if you have absolutely no need for speed, you’ll love this place. The Bell’Italia exhibit recreates classic Italian cityscapes where you are a stroll around with a gelato or take a cruise behind the wheel of a 250 GT California Spyder through.

Craving a chic but family-friendly hotel? You will love these accommodation picks.

Ride Lovers’ Pick: Six Flags Magic Mountain, Los Angeles, CA

Love roller coasters? It’s time to get to LA where the incredible Six Flags Magic Mountain packs in more rollercoasters than any other theme park on earth.

With 19 roller coasters, including the world’s tallest vertical loop (we are talking 160 feet!) on Full Throttle, this place will test even the toughest of iron stomachs. Ride backward at more than 100 MPH then climb up 41 flights on Superman: Escape from Krypton.

For the little ones, there is Bugs Bunny World. And, for those just needing to give their poor hearts a break, there is the ultra chill Rapids Camp Crossing where you can cool down on a raft ride.

Can’t get enough? It is worth checking out the Six Flags Membership program to save a bit of cash.

Trip of a Lifetime: Universal Studios Japan, Osaka

Outside of the world of Disney, Universal Studios Japan in Osaka is the most popular (and one of the best!) theme parks in the world. Get entranced at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter as you explore Hogwarts. Watch the little ones’ eyes light up at Snoopy Studios and Hello Kitty Fashion Avenue. Cast your net around The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man – The Ride 4K3D. This place has it all.

After Universal Studios Japan, you have barely scratched the surface of Osaka! It is a dream destination for family travel. Explore the Osaka Aquarium, Kids Plaza Osaka, Tempozan Ferris Wheel, Tennoji Zoo, and Osaka Castle Park.

Once you have covered the city, you can hop on the bullet train for a 15-minute trip to Kyoto, which has fabulous options for kids of all ages.

For Beach Lovers: PortAventura, Spain

Can’t decide between a day at the beach and a trip to the amusement park? Why not do both! Just south of Barcelona in the small city of Salou, you will find a picture-perfect family destination.

Tarragona, on the Costa Dorada, is famous for its flawless beaches and beautiful weather. You can relax on the gorgeous beaches, take a dip in the Medietterian Sea, then pop over to Portaventura. It’s the biggest resort in southern Europe and it’s right beside the epic new Ferrari Land.

If you are in the mood for a city break, just hop on the train. There is regular service between Salou and Barcelona and the trip takes less than 90 minutes.
