The best family hotels in Sitges are: Sunway Playa Golf & Spa, Mediterráneo, and the ME Sitges Terramar. It’s best to stay downtown or in walking distance to downtown as you will not need a car moving around Sitges.

Sitges Family Hotels – Tips and Recommendations

  • Booking.com – the best website for booking hotels in Sitges. Click on the hotel name to get the latest prices and deals.
  • There are also several licensed holiday homes agencies in Sitges, Sitges Hills Villas is my favorite, although they have mainly more expensive villas (but worth it).
  • If you go with an agency, make sure the properties are licensed (ask for their HUTB number) and the agency complies with local laws and insurance requirements.
  • Try to book as much in advance as you can – especially for your vacation in July and August.
  • Note: The chronological listing is not an indication of ranking.

The 10 Best Hotels for Families in Sitges

ME Sitges Terramar – luxury

Newly refurbished beachfront hotel (used to be the Terramar Palace), originally built in the 1930s. Now it’s a sparkling clean luxury hotel right in front of the beach (there is a road between the hotel and the beach). Walking distance to downtown however I would not recommend it with smaller children – you’d need to get transport. There is a kids club and a private beach. Tel: + 34 938 940 050. Map

Hotel Sunway Playa Golf & Spa – mid-range

Almost a resort-style apart-hotel, situated on the seafront promenade of Sitges. It has a small supermarket, three restaurants, a nice pool with a kids area (outside) and an indoor pool with views. There is also a room for children to play in and a small playground. Although a bit far from the city – a good option for families who don’t want to be downtown every day. Tel: +34 938 11 34 10. Hotel Calipolis – mid-range

Perfect location, right across from the main beach and close to downtown. Curved shape, high-rise building with fantastic views in most rooms (make sure to ask for a room with sea view). It has a small outdoor pool and two restaurants on site (however I prefer to eat elsewhere downtown). Breakfast is good. No special facilities for kids, however the close proximity to the beach and downtown make it a favorite. Tel: +34 938 94 15 00. Map

Hotel Subur Maritim – mid-range

Right on the beach, the hotel has a wonderful outdoor pool and nice greenery. The rooms have a private terrace and some have great sea views. It has one attached restaurant (Cau del Vinyet) which is set in a restored 1920 villa. It’s about a 15min walk alrong the promenade to downtown. It’s family friendly but doesn’t have any specific facilities – however the outdoor and close proximity to the beach speak for themselves. Tel: +34 938 94 15 50. Map

Hotel Capri – mid-range

Family run hotel close to the beach and close to downtown. It has an outdoor pool towards the back and some nice garden. A nice “hideaway” from the bustling Sitges downtown. Good value for money. No specific family facilities but great location and nice, cozy atmosphere. Tel: +34 938 11 02 67. Map

Meliá Sitges – luxury

Modern hotel complex in the Aiguadolç area of Sitges. It’s about a 15min walk to downtown Sitges – along the beach over a small hill. With some great views over Sitges, it has an outdoor pool, fitness center and pretty much everything else you’d expect from a more resort style hotel. There is a small beach in Aiguadolç in case you don’t want to walk over to the main part of the city. The Port d’Aiguadolç also has several good restaurants. Tel: +34 938110811. Map

Hotel Alexandra – budget

Small hotel in downtown Sitges. Has only one star due to its limited amenities but is very clean. Families however need to reserve two adjacent rooms (there are no family rooms). Still, a good budget option for staying in downtown Sitges close to restaurants and shopping. It’s about a 4 minutes walk to the beach. Some rooms have balconies or terraces. Friendly management. There is no lift and no breakfast services, still a hidden little gem. Tel: +34 938 94 15 58. Map

Dolce Sitges – luxury

The leading luxury hotel in Sitges. Note: the hotel is not in walking distance to the beach – however there is a free shuttle bus in summer. Apart from that it has everything you’d expect from a five-star hotel, including family rooms, child care, games for kids, etc. I’d recommend it if you have a car – there is free on-site parking. Beautiful views, great outdoor pools and a spa. Close to the golf course. Tel: +34 938 10 90 00. Map

Hotel Sitges – mid-range

Nice, relaxing mid-sized hotel in the El Vinyet area of Sitges. About a 3min walk to the beach and 10min to downtown. It has no family rooms, so if you’re four or more people you need two connecting rooms which works very well. The hotel has a spa and a sun terrace and is very kid friendly, although it doesn’t have any specific facilities for children. Tel: +34 938 94 13 91. Map

Mediterráneo Sitges – mid-range

Resort style hotel with fully equipped apartments and excellent location close to the beach and close to downtown. 3 outdoor pools (year-round) in a nice garden. Ideal for families with smaller children due to the large apartments with amenities (up to three-bedroom apartments available). Self-catering possible. Tel: +34 938 94 33 55. Map
