Event Details

The White House Easter Egg Roll is a fun and entertaining event on the President’s lawn. You and your family have never been so close to the White House!

The Easter Egg Roll is a tradition that dates back to the year 1878. Every year children from all around Washington DC would head to the city centre the Monday after Easter to roll eggs on the lawn. When President Hayes was in power, children asked him to do the egg rolling on the lawn of the White House, and it has been held here ever since.
