Medieval Summer Festival in Croatia

The Medieval Summer Festival in Croatia takes place on the Island of Rab. The island itself is called ´The Happy Island´ so you already know this is a promising event.  The ´Rabska Fjera´as they call the festival, is one of the oldest and largest medieval festivals of its kind.

During the festival, you will go back in time. The whole town is filled with craftworkers and artisan shops. Also, you can learn about traditional dishes like tuna, fritters, and cheese, and you can learn how to decorate your hair with tiny flowers.

And the best part of the festival – The Knights Games – You can see these games with crossbowmen and other tournaments on the 27th of July.

When you are in Croatia from the 25th to the 27th of July make sure to visit the Island of Rab for the event. The dates will be the same every year as these dates are the feast days of St. James, St. Anne, and St. Christopher.
