Event Details

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is the world’s greatest parade and the most spectacular event of this kind. It is the second-oldest Thanksgiving Day Parade and each year gets more visitors and represents a family show for the entire family and country.

The highlights of the parade are giant balloons, first introduced 90 years ago, to replace real animals. Since then, balloons have grown and gone up in the sky of 2,000 feet.

A few years ago you could see a giant Olaf balloon and a Sponge Bob floating above the streets of Manhattan.  We are eager to find out who will be the star of this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

If you are traveling to New York City for Thanksgiving Day, make sure to book the place on time. Find the best hotels on our list of Family hotels, and find out more about the city in our Travel guide.
