Las Vegas Family Hotels – Tips and Recommendations

  • Although the Las Vegas Strip seems short at just 4 miles long, when it comes to walking between resorts and attractions, that distance can quickly add up.  Many distances are further than they initially appear so make sure to check the distance on a map before charting a course to your destination.
  • If you do choose to walk, bring some comfortable shoes to make the trip easier. Take advantage of the walkways inside casinos to avoid the hot afternoon sun.  Several resorts have free trams that run between them and there is a Monorail too.
  • Las Vegas is a desert city which means temperatures vary between day and night. Even though it may be scorching during the daytime hours, you should always have a light jacket or sweater nearby because evening temperatures can get cool.  Plus many casinos and resorts have air conditioning that can quickly chill you.
