Hello, I'm Totochie!

I love to explore. Come along into the garden, up to the clouds and out into the rain.

A story and activities for ages 3 to 7.

Totochie, a small round orange character with a purple nose and curly antennae, runs through a garden with his friends: a frog doing a handstand, a wizard sitting on a daisy and a little reader riding a firefly.
Book cover: Totochie and the Fluffy Cloud by Patricia Tantow. Totochie sits on a smiling white cloud while a small angry storm cloud flashes behind him.

Totochie and the Fluffy Cloud

One cloudy Sunday, Totochie bounces so high on his trampoline that he lands on a fluffy white cloud. From up there he finds out where rain comes from, who loves a rainy day, and why a thunderstorm sounds scarier than it is.

  • Explains rain, thunder and lightning in simple words
  • Reassuring for children who are a little scared of storms
  • Ends with a rain song to sing together
  • 32 pages, for ages 3 to 7

Also available from Amazon Germany.

Meet Totochie and Fido

Totochie

Small, orange and endlessly curious. He is a little clumsy and runs into trouble easily, but he is kind to everyone and everything around him.

Fido

Fido is a frog. He lives in the small pond next to Totochie's house, and nothing makes him happier than rain.

A small purple character with curly hair reading a book next to a pile of books. Two grown-up characters, one orange with a moustache and bow tie, one pink with red hair. A green wizard with a tall hat, a long purple beard and a wand. The little reader riding on a firefly.

And this is the rest of the gang.

For grown-ups

Totochie began as a family project: a character made by parents for their own children, to make the natural world a little more wondrous. The first book, written by Patricia Tantow, came out in 2017.
