Carnival of Quebec

Carnival of Quebec is the world’s largest winter carnival in the world and a true winter wonderland for young and old alike.

Every year Quebec turns into the world’s snow capital, this has been a tradition ever since 1894. Because the population had to face harsh winters every year, they decided to organize a fun event to make the cold winter days more fun.  Since 1894 the event has only been interrupted by the Great Depression and two world wars.

While you are there, you will receive a warm winter welcome in this festive city. You’ll be able to experience a wide variety of entertainment, impressive ice sculptures, and heated terraces. When you travel with children, they will be delighted by the ambassador of this Carnival ‘Bonhomme’. So, don’t forget to visit this giant snowman at his Ice Palace.

Other activities you might like at the Carnival of Quebec are the Night parades. During these parades, you will not only meet Bonhomme himself but he will also be surrounded by performers who will light up the streets.
