Benalmadena Carnival

Benalmadena Carnival lasts for ten days and takes place just before ‘ash wednesday’. It provides lots of fun with masquerades, procession, and contests.

The most impressive parts of the carnival are children’s parade, gastronomic gatherings, and live music shows. Each year people gather to dance, sing, and put on costumes in a festive mood. Furthermore, the ending of the Benalmadena Carnival features a unique parade of the lizard and traditional Burning of the lizard on the beach.
