The Hans Christian Andersen Festivals is a festival that will take place every year in late August in the renowned writer’s birthplace the city of Odense.

If you have never heard of Hans Christian Andersen we will refresh your mind a bit. So, have you ever heard of the fairy tales ‘The little mermaid’, ‘The red shoes’, or ‘The princess and the pea’? He wrote these and many other famous fairy tales.

During this event, the historical town of Odense transforms into one big theater. On every street corner, park, square, bar, and theater you find live music, art exhibitions, street artist, theater performances, and more. During these days there will be over 500 cultural activities to enjoy.
